Owners Andrew and Michelle Mohsenzadegan opened Flatland Brewing Company in January 2016.The brewery began as a one barrel brewhouse and modest tasting room - all founded on a home brewer’s humble roots, a big dream, and a shoestring budget. The brewery quickly grew to a three barrel system, and now has the capacity to brew 2000 barrels per year.

In addition to stainless steel fermentation capacity, Flatland also has a love of sour beer, evident with 24 dedicated barrels to the sour program. Innovation and creativity are what drives the sour program - the pride and joy that Owner and Head Brewer Andrew hopes to take far in the near future.

Flatland Brewing Company is proud to have been the recipient of 2017 Best in Show award at the California State Fair. The love of beer, any style, is something that we are happy to share with our guests.

Come visit us in the tasting room, where you’re bound to get a personal story, brewery tour, tasting sessions, or even a sample straight from the tank. We take pride in having a business in the community in which friends, families, pets, and craft beer lovers can come together.

Andrew mohsenzadegan

Owner / Head Brewer

Andrew began home brewing in 2008, and the passion was instant. By batch number two, Andrew had invested in equipment, quality ingredients, and any eduction he could get his hands on. While fostering his hobby, Andrew worked as a Wine Steward for Nugget Markets. His years with Nugget provided training, industry connections, and exposure and education to the best adult beverages from around the world. It was ultimately a trip to France that finalized Andrew’s decision to open his dream business. Today you will find Andrew as the creator to every recipe, head of day to day business operations, and a member of the Sacramento Area Brewer’s Guild.

Michelle’s professional expertise lies in 15+ years of retail business management, and she has been an integral part of Flatland since before opening. Sean

Taproom Manager

Our resident ‘brewery contractor’ and tap room manager, Sean was officially Flatland’s first employee, and he helped to get the brewery operable in an unreasonably short amount of time once Andrew and Michelle made the leap. There isn’t anything he can’t build or help fix, and we sure do break a lot of things… You’ll find Sean as the familiar bearded brother behind the bar- come say hi! In his spare time, you’ll find Sean trying to break his Jeep in the mountains.

Mack

Brewer / Taproom Associate

Mack.jpg

Previous car mechanic and enthusiast, Mack went from being a regular customer to an employee in a short amount of time. Starting in the tap room, Mack quickly had the itch to learn back of house procedures. It was Mack’s passion and willingness to learn the technicalities of brewing that quickly excelled him to become our Lead Cellarman and Assistant Brewer.
